Mother of Beau Lamarre-Condon arrested, charged over witness

The mother of alleged murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon has been arrested and charged with allegedly perverting the course of justice.

Beau, a former police officer, is accused of murdering Sydney couple Luke Davies and Jesse Baird in 2024.

Authorities allege Coleen attempted to persuade a witness to change their evidence in her son’s murder trial.

She will remain in custody until she fronts court in May.

Background

Police began investigating the disappearance of Baird and Davies in mid-February 2024 after neighbours reported hearing gunshots from Baird’s inner-Sydney home.

Following a search, Beau handed himself in to police and was later charged with murder.

The bodies of Baird and Davies were later found at a rural property in Bungonia, near the regional city of Goulburn.

Beau's trial

Beau, 30, faces two counts of murder and one count of break and enter.

He has been in custody since his arrest in 2024 after being refused bail.

His trial is set to be held in the Supreme Court in September.
