Victoria Police have charged a group of teenagers with the murder of two boys in Melbourne’s outer-west.
A 12-year-old and a 15-year-old were fatally stabbed earlier this month.
The oldest of those arrested is 19, and the youngest is 15.
Stabbing
On the evening of 6 September, police responded to reports of a stabbing in the outer-western suburb of Cobblebank.
Upon arrival, a 12-year-old boy was found in a critical condition with multiple stab wounds. A short time later, a 15-year-old boy was found nearby with similar injuries.
Both died at the scene.

Police evidence suggests the murder weapons were machetes and long-bladed knives.
Arrests
On Friday morning, Victoria Police executed search warrants at multiple properties across Melbourne’s western and northern suburbs.
Those arrested include two 19-year-olds, an 18-year-old, three 16-year-old boys, and a 15-year-old boy.
The investigation into the alleged murders remains ongoing, with police currently interviewing the suspects.
Police have since increased their presence in Cobblebank.
