Sam Kerr charged in the UK with racially harassing a police officer

Matildas playerhas been charged in the UK with a “racially aggravated offence” relating to a police officer.

Kerr has pleaded not guilty in court, but has not released a public statement.

In a statement, thepolice said Sam Kerr had been charged in the UK over “an incident involving a police officer who was responding to a complaint involving a taxi fare on 30 January 2023 in Twickenham [in London]”.
