Police investigation
On Sunday, the Daily Mail UK published an article claiming Prince Andrew tried to use his royal bodyguard to obtain personal information about his alleged victim, Giuffre.
It’s alleged he did this back in 2011, right before a photo of them was about to be published by the media.
The Daily Mail alleges Andrew gave confidential information about Giuffre, including her social security number, to his royal bodyguard to perform an investigation.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told media outlets: “We are aware of media reporting and are actively looking into the claims made.”
There are no further details about the police investigation.
Giuffre’s posthumous memoir will be released this week.
