Three children have died following a house fire in South East Queensland.
Police are treating the fire as “suspicious”.
A 36-year-old woman who escaped the fire is under police guard in hospital.

On Wednesday, emergency services were called to a property in Toowoomba that police said was “engulfed by flames.”
A body believed to be of a nine-year-old boy was discovered inside the house.
On Thursday morning, authorities confirmed two girls aged four and seven had died overnight of their injuries following the fire.

Four people managed to escape the fire, including a 36-year-old woman, a 34-year-old man, an 18-year-old man, and an 11-year-old boy.
The 36-year-old woman is currently in a critical condition and is under police guard in hospital.
On Thursday morning, Detective Superintendent George Marchesini told media police “would like to talk to the woman that’s under guard at the moment.”
Marchesini said the woman is the mother of all of the children in the house, including the 18-year-old.
The police “are not looking for anyone else in connection to this incident” and will continue to “treat the fire as suspicious.”
