Tropical Cyclone Narelle made landfall in Far North Qld on Friday morning and will continue to move inland.
At around 7am Friday, the cyclone made landfall as a Category 4, about 75km south of Lockhart River.
It’s since been downgraded to a Category 3, with winds up to 130 km/h as it moves west across Cape York Peninsula.
Narelle has continued inland today and will gradually weaken over the weekend.

Emergency warnings have been issued across most of the Cape York Peninsula.
The Bureau of Meteorology has warned of damaging winds, flash flooding from heavy rain, and large waves in low-lying coastal areas.
Tides are expected to rise well above normal, increasing the risk of minor coastal flooding.
After crossing Qld, Narelle is expected to make landfall in the Northern Territory over the weekend.
