Australia’s corruption watchdog has found a senior Home Affairs official engaged in “serious” corrupt conduct when she helped her sister’s fiancé secure a job in the department. 

Large parts of NSW are being told to brace for damaging winds, heavy rain and potential flooding, with a ‘rain bomb’ predicted to hit the state tomorrow. 

Two firefighters have been shot dead in the U.S. state of Idaho, after what police suspect was a planned ambush.
