There is a push to curb alcohol consumption in Parliament House after two recent incidents involving parliamentarians and alcohol. Earlier this month, a video went viral of Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce lying on the ground in the middle of a Canberra street. This week, Nationals Senator Perin Davey admitted she had two drinks before a Senate Estimates hearing, where she could be heard slurring her words.
