The UK Government has confirmed they will ban some single-use plastics in England, following an inquiry into the issue that was launched in November 2021.
According to the Government, over five billion plastic plates and cutlery are used annually, with only about 10% recycled by users.

Similar bans have already been approved in other parts of the UK, including Scotland and Wales.
