Australia reached its hottest winter temperature on record yesterday

Australia hasits hottest winter temperature since records began in 1910.

Yampi Sound in WA’s Kimberley region recorded a temperature of 41.6°C around 3:30 pm (AWST) on Monday.

The previous highest winter temperature of 41.2°C was also recorded in the Kimberley, in August 2020.
