The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has forecast what could be Australia’s hottest winter, with unusually hot conditions for most of the country.
Thefound that above-averageare more than 80% likely across the country from June to August. It’s also forecast fairly dry conditions over winter.

National average temperatures last winter were 1.53°C above the 1961-1990 average, making it Australia’s hottest winter since records began in 1910.
However, the months ahead could surpass 2023 for the warmest winter.
