The SES said on Monday: “Conditions are forecast to remain settled today, but riverine rises remain a risk as floodwater moves downstream.”

Missing woman

Emergency services are still searching for a woman who police said was “swept away in flood water” in the Hunter on Saturday.

The woman was pulled into the water after she tried to exit a car that had driven into floodwaters. The driver escaped unharmed.

The search was suspended on Saturday due to the weather but restarted the following day.
