Across the country, there are 150 seats up for grabs in the House of Representatives. The ACT has three of those seats.

Canberra

Canberra is located in central ACT, taking in the inner-suburbs of the city.

Canberra has turned into a contest between Labor and the Greens, away from the seat’s traditional Labor-Liberal tussle.

Bean

Bean is located in the southern suburbs of Canberra, including Woden Valley and Tuggeranong.

While the seat is notionally safe for the Labor Party, it is being contested by a Climate 200-backed independent candidate Jessie Price.

Labor is likely to retain the seat, but could see a significant swing against it.

Fenner

Fenner covers the north-west of the ACT, based around Gungahlin and Belconnen.

The electorate has always been held by the Labor Party.

Its member, Dr Andrew Leigh, is not expected to face a significant challenge, although there could be a swing in favour of Greens or independents.
